The 13th SNIM-Nouadhibou International Marathon: A resounding success with diverse participation

The thirteenth edition of the SNIM-Nouadhibou International Marathon concluded successfully on December 8, 2024. The Société Nationale Industrielle et Minière (SNIM) supported this important sporting event, which took place under the high patronage of the Wali of Dakhlet Nouadhibou Wilaya, Mr. Mahi Ould Hamed. A significant delegation, comprising administrative, military, and security authorities as well as representatives from partner companies, honored the event with their presence.

Mr. Mohamed Haidara, the General Director of the marathon, highlighted SNIM's constant commitment since the event's inception. He particularly emphasized the company's official sponsorship and its support for the training of young athletes, notably by granting more than 25 airline tickets that allowed participants to attend sports training in Europe, the United States, and Africa.
This commitment is part of SNIM's social policy, which aims to promote sports and cultural activities in the regions where it operates.
This edition brought together more than 3,900 participants, including children, youth, women, and people with reduced mobility. The runners were able to compete on three distinct courses of 21, 10, and 5 kilometers.
With its scale and inclusive nature, the SNIM-Nouadhibou International Marathon establishes itself as the city's largest annual sporting event, thus contributing to the prominence of Nouadhibou and the promotion of sports for all.
