Inauguration of the New Loading Line at Nouadhibou Mineral Port
His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, presided over the inauguration of a new ship loading line at the city's mineral port this Friday morning in Nouadhibou, as part of the celebrations marking the 64th anniversary of national independence. This project includes a bucket wheel excavator with a capacity of 6000 tons per hour, a network of conveyors extending over 1200 meters, as well as a set of transfer towers. The total cost of the project amounts to 15.6 million euros, entirely self-financed by SNIM.
This project aims at several strategic objectives: doubling the ship loading rate, enhancing the safety and flexibility of loading operations, and preparing the Company's infrastructure for the planned production increase in the coming years.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by high-profile personalities. Alongside His Excellency the President of the Republic were Mr. El Nani Ould Chrougha, Minister in charge of the Presidential Cabinet, Mr. Thiam Tidjani, Minister of Mines and Industry, as well as Mr. Mohamed Vall MOHAMED TELMIDY, Chief Executive Officer of SNIM.
