The President of the Republic presides over the inauguration of the Sheraton Nouakchott Hotel

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, presided over the inauguration of the Sheraton Nouakchott Hotel, November 20 th, 2025 in Nouakchott, which is the first achievement of the "Grands Hôtels de Mauritanie" Company, a subsidiary of SNIM. It was built in partnership with the private groups Wafa Holding and Raja Holding, as part of SNIM's contribution to the development of the national economy and the improvement of hotel services in the country, through the construction of hotels meeting international standards, capable of providing spaces suitable for conferences, forums, and major events, in addition to comfortable accommodation.

The Sheraton Nouakchott represents an important cornerstone in the development and modernization of the capital, attracting a world-class brand known for its highest safety and comfort standards.

The Sheraton Nouakchott offers more than 260 direct jobs and approximately double that in indirect jobs; the global Marriott company, whose brand the hotel bears, will manage it under the supervision and monitoring of GHM.

The Sheraton Nouakchott consists of a ground floor and 6 floors containing 164 rooms, 34 suites, and two presidential suites.

It has been designed to include several service facilities, the most important of which are: a reception hall, restaurants, and a conference center including a main, modular room that can accommodate 900 people, as well as 4 meeting rooms, with an average capacity of 60 people each.

SNIM began decades ago to create a group of subsidiaries, active in various economic and industrial fields, to support the national industrial fabric, provide specialized labor, and certain services and products that serve the economy in general
