75 pilgrims, including employees of SNIM and its subsidiaries, retirees, as well as imams from Nouadhibou and Zouerate, depart for the Holy Sites to perform the Hajj (pilgrimage)
On Sunday, May 18, 2025, pilgrims from the National Industrial and Mining Company (SNIM) and its subsidiaries converged on Nouakchott. Departing from Zouerate and Nouadhibou, they arrived in the capital at different times, depending on the distance traveled. Preparations are actively continuing for their departure to the Holy Sites, scheduled for May 21.
The SNIM group's pilgrims this year number 75 for the 1445/2025 season. They are currently enjoying comfortable accommodation in a hotel residence in Nouakchott.
Since 2022, SNIM has been organizing and fully financing the Hajj pilgrimage for its eligible employees as well as for winners of a special lottery. The management of the organizational aspects of this journey has been entrusted to the company SOMASERT.
The pilgrims' return to Mauritania is scheduled for June 16, thus concluding their spiritual journey.
