With a financial envelope of more than 110 million MRO, the SNIM Foundation launches the Ramadan 1446 Hegira operation in the wilaya of Dakhlet Nouadhibou
The SNIM Foundation has inaugurated its Ramadan 1446 Hegira operation in Nouadhibou, targeting the wilaya of Dakhlet Nouadhibou.
This initiative includes the distribution of 2197 food baskets, accompanied by financial assistance for 232 imams, 210 muezzins and 596 mahadras.
The ceremony was chaired by the Wali of the Wilaya of Dakhlet Nouadhibou, Mr. Mahi OULD HAMED, accompanied by the vice-president of the Regional Council, the of the Moughataa, the heads of the armed and security forces. The regional service heads, a large number of beneficiaries and representatives of civil society organizations were also present.
In close collaboration with the local authorities, the SNIM Foundation has targeted its action on several categories of beneficiaries: needy families, people with disabilities, SNIM group retirees, as well as those from the army, guard and police. The aid also extended to dialysis patients, children with autism or multiple disabilities, families with triplets, and victims of the recent fire at the Nouadhibou wood market.
The villages of Boulanouar, Inal, Legreidat, Tmeimchat and Ben Amira, in addition to the city of Nouadhibou, benefit from this distribution.
"For several years, the SNIM Foundation has carried out this action during the blessed month of Ramadan, aimed at supporting the most destitute populations. It is part of the public policies and orientations of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed OULD CHEIKH EL GHAZOUANI, implemented by the government of Prime Minister, Mr. El Mokhtar OULD DJAY. It aims to provide concrete assistance to the vulnerable categories of the population, particularly during the month of Ramadan," explains Mr. Mohamed Mokhtar OULD HASNI, General Director of the SNIM Foundation, during his speech.
The SNIM Foundation works in the areas of fighting poverty, supporting the health and education sectors, as well as promoting local development and improving basic services. Its interventions mainly target the regions bordering the SNIM exploitation sites, extending from Nouadhibou to Bir Moghrein, commonly called the Railway Corridor.
