COMECA fishing boats factory

The President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz inaugurated, on April 7, 2014 in Nouadhibou, a factory to build fishing boats "made in Mauritania". This plant expects to produce in a first time one hundred fishing boats.
The establishment of this plant results in a partnership between the ministry of Fisheries and maritime Economy and COMECA. It has benefited from a technical assistance of Japanese Cooperation.
COMECA is a subsidiary of SNIM Group, operating in the mechanical manufacturing. “COMECA expertise just as well to consolidate with the establishment of this plant it is also a contribution to promote complementarity between various sectors of the national economy”, said SNIM member of the Board & CEO, Mr. Mohamed Abdellahi Ould Oudaâ.
